Blue Angels Bridge Closure

I was heading out for a (relatively) short bike ride today, and no sooner did I pull out of the driveway then the Blue Angels roared overhead on their way toward Lake Washington for a practice session ahead of Sea Fair. So, I turned around and headed toward Mercer Island. I managed to race there in time to see part of the practice show, standing at the roadblock on the I-90 floating bridge. It interrupted my ride, but it was well worth it.

If you look closely, back in the distance you can see an F/A-18 fighter jet (not one of the Blue Angels) performing a solo practice show.
