I remember as a nipper watching 'Tomorrows World' talking about how technology would free us all, the link is a classic, easy to forget how recent an invention the first mobile phones are.

Doesnt seem to have happened, in fact it often feels like we are less free. We are all now available 24 hours a day and people expect us to be able to react faster to their demands, technology has reduced a large portion of peoples social life to a small screen, conversing with people they will never meet rather than going out and meeting real people .....
