Holiday haircut ...

Little man has not always liked having his hair 'done'. It took us years to get him to even come into the barbers let alone sit in the chair. The barber is a friend of my Mr and after lots of coxing he eventually agreed to have a trim.

Now its a must do occasion for him to have his hair cut in the summer ready for the hols. He is blessed with a good head of golden curls but does like it shorter in style. It is part of growing up I think, the need for your own identity and the expression of what you feel is 'you'.

I am amazed at the skill of a barber or hair dresser. The rhythmic snipping of the scizzors and the low buzz of a clipper, its music of sorts. Lots of banter in this place, comedic needling about football and a good family atmosphere with lads and Dads being groomed to perfection.

Little man was happy with his cut but more excited about the promise of a lollipop as reward for sitting still.
