The Legend

One of my country's greatest senators, Robert C. Byrd passed away this past June.

Starting with his feet deep in racism, he later became a changed man. A man who when made mistakes, was not afraid to own up to them.

He was a champion to the poor, a champion to the hard working people of West Virginia, a champion against war, he was a legend.

Today, we visited the state capital of West Virginia, where this statue will forever show respect to Mr. Byrd.
