The Monsoon Trek

Everybody enjoys monsoon in their own way. Being a trekker, I decided to chase the monsoon by trekking in the Sahyadri (Maharashtra).

A friend of mine [Adda] arranged a monsoon trek to Rajmachi, a small peaceful hamlet at a height of 3000ft in the Sahyadri. The chosen trail was simple because the prime aim was to get soaked in the rain and enjoy the grandeur of Sahyadris during the monsoon time. The 26 member team had a few newbies and a few seasoned trekkers, who had already been on this trek last year during monsoon.

After a delay of 30 minutes, the train finally left the station at 10:30pm. Since I knew no one from the group, it took me a bit to get used to the names. But in no time, I was comfortable ...
