"Ready for your close up Mr Hoverfly?"

After my first macro experiment yesterday I was keen to get out in the garden again this morning and have another go!

Unfortunately my Nikon D40x stopped working a few hours after this was taken ... tragedy!!

I get the error message 'Error: press shutter release button again', but when I do nothing happens. Googled for solutions and found the suggestion 'shake it' which worked ... for two shots :-(

Being cameraless is going to feel very, very strange! We're going to make a couple of calls tomorrow to find out if it's worth getting it fixed, or if it would be more economical to take this opportunity to upgrade ....

So, unless I can borrow hubby's camera at opportune moments, I may be abscent from Blip for a little while! Such a shame, especially as I have just been bitten by the macro bug ... a hoverfly shaped macro bug today!
