Carnival!

We spent most of the day at the beach with my younger nephews and their surf boards - it was like a mill pond again but it didn't stop them trying! By the time we packed up, they had all had a go at trying to balance standing up with varying degrees of success.

We had to leave the beach earlier than planned though to get ready for Carnival. Today is the start of Falmouth Week and there is a walking parade through town, also known as the Carnival.

Bella and I (with Red) were taking part with Brownies while Ben and Ally (with Lily) were with the Beavers. We managed to get in right near the front, almost behind the Falmouth Marine Band......but this meant we were accompanied most of the way by the gent featuring above.

We are just grateful he decided against the thong...
