Is it a bird, is it a plane..?

At first glance I thought it looked like a rotary clothes line poked into someones chimney! But maybe it is a strange sort of aerial? Or satelite receiver?

Not a good day today - everything went wrong!! But, at least my daughter got home safe and sound.

The other daughter, who is married and not lived at home here for a long time now,. woke us up at 7.11am today with a random text to my mobile. A bit early for a Sunday I thought. Typically, this was the one morning which I had slept on and I needed to get some sleep - normally I am awake at 6am!! Once a parent, you don't get sleep whatever their age!!
