Mysterfly

It's not a bee or any stinging insect, yet it has the coloration of a hornet. But it has a fly's body. The insect remains a mystery to me, but I am determined to find out what it is.

I spent the day with Mum, Dad and Rory in Abingdon. We went to a garden centre for lunch, but it was full of screaming kids and wasps so we legged it out of there and back to the cottage. The family drove me home so they could meet the menagerie. Unfortunately, Omar goes to bed early and not even Dad could wake her up. Her shell was admired, though.
