Sto Lat!

Sto Lat actually means a hundred years, but it's what Poles say to wish one another a Happy Birthday. There's a song too - which I don't know all the words to yet, but Rebecca had a bilingual first birthday party this afternoon with one other small person to play with and 10 grown-ups (plus her parents) to make a fuss of her. As usual, she was a dream child and played quietly with her friend Harriet, while the adults drank fizz and ate her ladybird-shaped birthday cake!
