Always wondering who i am

By tiffani13

Honey, i made you a mix tape x

I've spent most of today cleaning the flat. Have had music on whilst doing so and it has inspired this blip. Music lovers here are some recommendations of 'lesser known' artists that you will want to check out:

1. Fearne
I've blipped about Fearne before so i'll start with them. They are a 4 piece indie pop / rock band with a lot of energy and some catchy tunes. These guys have a great future in front of them. My favourite track is 'Sophie'.

2. The Rebs
The Rebs are also a 4 piece band that are simply fantastic. Having won the road to V festival competition as well as a lot of great compliments from higher flyers in the music world they deserve your attention. The energy in their live performances is second to none and if ever you get chance to see them you have to go. Check out 'Superman'

3. Emily Maguire
Emily maguire is a folk singer / songwriter from the south of the UK who has lived in Australia for many years. I first saw Emily live and fell in love with her voice immediately. She has written a song for greenpeace called 'woke up'.

4. Jake Morley
Jake's guitar style will blow you away .. he slaps it, bangs it and plays it like a piano at times??!!? The result is fantastic. Jake made 125 handmade album sleeves - you can see mine in the picture. 29 of 125 :) Check out 'Feet don't fail me now'.

5. Mindy Smith
Mindy smith is an american folk / country artist. Her voice will simply melt your heart like it did mine. She is also incredibly beautiful. I particularly like 'One moment more' and her cover of 'Jolene' Look them up on you tube.

6. Dlugokecki
(Pronounced Der-loo-go-ken-ski) Dlugokecki have been around for 10 years and have marked their anniversary with an album very much worth buying. 'Save my soul' is particularly very good.

7. Kassidy
My housemate raved about these for ages so i gave them a listen. I was impressed. 'Take another ride' is a good song to get a flavour.

8. Port Erin
A fantastic trio from the English country side. Go to itunes and look them up. I have 'The Deads E.P' which is brilliant. Only has three songs on but they are all great especially 'The Deads'

9. Joel Owen
Joel's album 'Love and Music' is a slow relaxing album of fantistically written lyrics. Not to everyone's taste but i like him. Check out 'Lover, please walk me home'

10. Arp Attack
Arp Attack's elctro and synths sound is brilliant. Their energy on stage (particularly lead singer Frankie) is great and the songs are funky. After hearing them i played their cd to death in my car. My favourite is 'Follow the rythmn'

So there you go music lovers. It is good to share. Now that's what i call music ... haha!
