22° halo

After a week of rains, today it was surprisingly sunny in the morning. As I was about to leave for work, a friend of mine called me and asked me to rush outside to check out the halo around the Sun. It was indeed very beautiful. Like a full rainbow around the Sun. I have seen this wonderful natural phenomenon quite commonly at higher altitudes of Himalayas where the ice crystals are generally suspended in the atmosphere. It was surprising to see the same here.
