Yes, it was a good present

Katie got a present in the post today from her friend. It really was a good present- I mean, what more could a 9month old want than exciting pretty paper and a box? But even better, inside the present was a toy!! Three presents in one really. Genius. Mummy was very pleased because with Katie's present was also a present for Mummy. There was a sharing present too, but Mummy was very 'disappointed' as the sharing present was something Katie wouldn't eat. Very delighted disappointed

We had to go return stairgates today. Despite careful measuring, checking and triple checking, they didn't fit. To Katie's delight.

That afternoon, Katie's granny and grandad came to play with her, give her tea and put her to bed, so Mummy could have a couple of hours out. Katie only listened to the first bit. The other two, food and sleep, nope, they were so not happening. Mummy went to a sort-of hen party for a friend who's renewing her wedding vows and didn't get a hen night the first time round. Mummy got wrapped in toilet paper. However this was worth the effort as it won her a bottle of champagne.

When Mummy returned, the plan was to find a sleeping Katie and grandparents sat having a cup of tea. What she found was an extremely cheeky looking Katie sat in between her grandparents, playing. Grandad claimed a story along the lines of 'Katie talked to Monkey and formulated a plan, she hurled him out the cot to investigate escape routes'... clearly, grandad was the escape route.
