Faded Birthday Rose

So beautiful and so short-lived...one of my birthday roses has wilted already. It was too pretty to compost without blipping it first though :-)

I did try to take a different blip. My intellectually challenged pooch was stalking hoverflies in the garden. There are so many about at the moment and they're quite large. It was so funny to watch. He'd hunker down and creep slowly forward before charging full pelt into my lavender snapping his jaws together. He didn't catch one but he smells gorgeous! Sadly my shots didn't do the scene justice...you had to be there.
