Heather Moor
I switched off the computer and headed out for some fresh air this afternoon. My aim was to blip the view of the moor above our house from the Badger Stone. Just as I got there the weather decided to have other ideas. The whole valley was shrouded in the inland equivalent of sea fret and, being less protected than my camera, I was fast getting soaked. Jeans are not good for staying dry when walking along paths lined with bracken, bilberry and heather! The very minute I arrived back at the end of the street, where our neighbour had stuck out the rain shower to finish his dry stone walling, the sun came out and the sky was full of beautiful clouds. All it needed to complete the joke was a rainbow! Thankyou weather god!
A camera full of dark, dank blips later, I think this one does the best justice to the heather moor, taken from the Badger Stone looking over the Aire valley.
