Thanking Evelien, Harry 1, Harrie 2, Martin, Henk, Janny, Bianca, Gerrit, Frits, Diete, Marije, Janette and all others in ICU for taking such good care of R. I know its their job to do so, but I think they do it in a speciall way......

R's progress continued today. This morning he was disconnected from the ventilator for two hours. I wasn't there when they started and he panicked a bit and asked for me (asking is still pointing at the alphabet board). His bloodgasses came out not very good. Whe agreed to do it again this evening at six and I promissed to be there. All went well, bloodgasses SUPER! (glad I'm still having sóme good influence :-)).
The fluid inside his lungs is slowly getting less and he's telling little stories with the alphabet board.
He asked to be put in a wheelchair to make a little walk downstairs. I hope he's not longing for a smoke, cause he's forced off smoking now for almost 5 weeks with no visible withdrawal symptoms :-)

Starting to get a little confidence, but still scared.....
