Avenue of trees
I had to go to a meeting in Dorset today and drove along a road I remember from childhood visits to Badbury Rings. It was just as lovely with light dappled through the trees...but I had a deadline ...a meeting to get to so no time. I drove back that way and the weather had changed to drizzle and poorer visibility with odd moments. A lovely place despite the busy road and wonderful to imagine it in years gone by before cars used it. New trees have been planted outside the old ones further back - a precaution against tree disease perhaps - or plans in future to widen?...I hope not.
I must have looked strange - dressed in office clothes ridiculous shoes and tiptoeing through the grass verges to get a shot. So mad that a fellow female stopped to ask if I was ok - she wouldnt have been able to see my car in the layby! Still its heartening that people still care enough to check up on others and it certainly made a work day brighter to get out the car and stop to commune with nature.
Blipping makes a drive a whole lot more interesting - I spotted two other potential pictures for another day.....
