Balnain House
Balnain House is an18th century building in Huntly Street. Built by a Mr Munro, a retired indigo planter, it was the first house in the city to be roofed with blue slates from Ballachulish and later served as a hospital for Royalist troops after the Battle of Culloden.
It is one of the most important buildings in Inverness' history, and naturally is a listed building.
It currently houses the National Trust for Scotland.
