Annie's Garden, Ieper
We arrived at Annie's lovely house in West Flanders. I only took two photos today, and the other was identical to Meles' blip for today, so sorry it's so boring.
We didn't take the ferry from Rosyth to Belgium this time, for those who asked. Aparently the new company is not as good as the old one.
Annie was not here, either, sadly. Every year she goes to Normandy in France to stay with a family who took in her family when they were evacuated during the First World War.
This does little justice to her beautiful garden, so here are some more photos from subsequent days....
You may be able to make out a WWI gravestone, leaning against the wall; I'm afraid that I can't remember the story of how it came to be in Annie's garden, but it's not sinister...there's no grave, and whoever it belongs to has a new stone...
