The STANLEY No 55

This is a member of another of my collections, "the #55 Stanley Plane".
My mother willed it to me, but one day said it is no use to her, I should have it now. She is very proud to see it in my display cabinet "an old shop counter".

This tool as well as many others belonged to her father, who was a carpenter.
When first purchased, this plane came with 4 boxes of blades and had other accessories available, all the boxes and blades and some extras are still with it.
These planes were made between 1897 and 1962, puting this plane atleast 50 and probably upto 85 years old.
