Strawberry Stalks...

Took this picture while making Eton Mess for my sister's pool party...

For those who don't know, Eton Mess (I always thought it was Eaten Mess, but no... it's named after the super-posh school in England...) is basically crushed up merrang, marrang, maringue meringue with whipped cream and various fruit, usually berries (we used strawberry and blackberry)...

And it is super nice...

So, my sister is having a pool party for about 10-ish of her friends... We don't have a proper pool, in fact ours is really a glorified paddling pool, but it looks pretty good, in fact I'm about to go try it out...

I thought about doing a pool blip today, or I took a few more pictures of whipped cream, licking bowls etc. but I was pretty pleased with this photo, so this is what I chose!

I'm escaping to Rob's this evening, because while I'm fine with helping Connie to make her desserts, I don't really fancy spending an evening with a group of screaming 12 and 13 year olds...

So, I've realised I only have about 10 minutes until I have to leave...
