We're awning complete again

About four weeks ago whilst on holiday near Barnards Castle we had the misfortune of leaving the campervan to go for a walk and leaving the awning up. Whilst we were not aware of it being particularly windy as we walked into Barnards Castle beside the river, the campsite patrons had another experience - seeing our awning take-off and buckle over the roof of the van. A kindly soul wrapped the wrecked awning to the side of the van using the power cable so that it would not flail against the van and damage the paint-work. We were extremely lucky not to have any paint- or body-work damage and an insurance claim resulted in the replacing of the awning today.
