Art Nouveau Handle

An Art Nouveau handle on one of the last pieces of pine furniture we have in the house.

We`ve tired of most of our old stuff. Furniture we`ve collected over the decades. It was looking tired. Sent the whole bally lot to the auction house. And got ripped off I feel!

Almost all of it went for the stupidly low reserve price. Then they chewed off their 17% commission plus VAT, of course; the collection charge; and something called a lotting charge.

We got next to nothing. We`d have probably got more value out of it by breaking it up into bits and burning it to keep warm!
