For those in peril on the sea

I was on the train down to Newcastle this morning and gazing at the beautiful calm North Sea in the dazzling sunlight when I noticed the little boats. They could be crab or prawn boats - just like the boat that capsized last week when it was in collision with the Rosyth-Zeebrugge ferry. Although one fisherman was rescued, his 16-year old brother was lost overboard and is presumed drowned.

A later report gave his name as Daniel McNeil, from Tynemouth.
