Pretty painless first day back at work today. After the first round of phone calls, dealing with email backlog (delete, delete, delete, delete...) and two cups of strong coffee it was as if the past 6 weeks had never happened.

So looking forward to being developed tomorrow (staff-wise). I had a query on one of my designated sessions that was titled "Managing Change" and that had no other information about what this involved. After ruling out it wasn't about keeping my lunch money coinage evenly distributed between pockets I contacted HR to see if they could shed any light on it.

"...[it] is to give you some understanding of what change involves and how to cope with it."

Well, that cleared that up.

I just know it's going to be a long semester...
