Le Chat Graffiti

Went for a walk around Longton today - one of the six towns of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. This bit of graffiti caught my eye. It was on a building down a side street, but the same graffiti artist has also put his cat on the side of the Tesco megastore. I think the composition has turned out quite well in this photo.

I was expecting Longton to be run-down and rather empty; although there were a fair number of derelict buildings, the town centre shopping centre and the market were bustling. I was also very happy to find an Age Concern charity shop where everything was £1 or less - they were selling paperback books for 10p!
