Lawn Bowling

I took my first lesson this evening in lawn bowling. It went well.

We have a "green" near our neighborhood and it's really quite unobtrusive. Lessons on Wednesday evenings are free and if you do well you're invited to join the local club. It costs $65 for the year and you don't need any equipment - the club supplies everything you need.

The folks that run the club are pretty cool. No white hats or capes or anything that signifies you're part of a club and the bowling part is fairly simple, but has an interesting strategy. Easy to learn, very relaxing and hardly any money to play - sign me up!
