Ellins Tower
Up early and headed off to Angelsey to the Oyster Festival which is a three day event held annually in Treardour Bay. Its great for Welsh tourism and an opportunity to buy wines, cheese and other produce. There was live music playing today, Irish folk which was good to hear. We had a huge plate of fresh oysters and bowls of mussels in thai sauce and in garlic and creme. Absolutely delicious as was the Murphys beer.
Went up to South Stack and walked down to the lighthouse, 400 steps which wind their way down to the lighthouse. It was closed as its only open certain times of the year. After climbing back up the 400 steps again we went along to Ellins Tower set on top of the towering cliffs. It is a seabird centre. From here there are fantastic views over the Irish Sea and a great clifftop walk. It was a beautiful day, really warm and sunny. Took lots of pictures so a difficult choice on what to post. In the end I decided I liked this best. The other 4 are here
Got stuck in major traffic jam on the way home all due to roadworks so thats why its a late posting.
Hope you all had a great weekend
