Generation Day at Lodi High
Today was "Generation Day" at Lodi High School. You may wonder, (as I did) what Generation Day entails. Well, the seniors were to dress as senior citizens and the 9th-11th graders were to dress as babies/little kids. Emily pulled out an old Tinkerbell t-shirt along with a jean skirt (although I don't think many little kids would carry a phone in the back pocket) socks and tennis shoes. She did her hair in pony tails and packed her lunch in Jack's lunch box. Her favorite addition to the outfit was a little pony backpack borrowed from 6 year old Sabrina (our neighbor). She said there were some cool outfits by some of the seniors complete with white hair using walkers and canes. Pretty funny.
After getting all the kids off to school, I did my time on the treadmill and then Jack and I walked over to the "Monkey Park." He found some fun kids to play with for a few hours. We returned home for a late lunch.
After getting Gracie to swim practice and picking up Emily from water polo, we came home for dinner before returning to Lodi for Back to School Night. I was very impressed with all of her teachers. I think she'll have a great year and learn a lot.
We returned home at 9 to find Jack still awake--apparently Daddy doesn't know how to do his bedtime routine of "animals" to Jack's satisfaction. After doing a few animals he drifted off to sleep.
