Cliff edge!

Had to wander down to the cliff edge to have a look at the state of the waves this afternoon. Ollie and I are going south tonight, on the overnight ferry. This should take seven hours but we have been on it when it took 18 (yes, 18!) hours!

The little island in the distance has a house and a lighthouse on it but neither are inhabited any longer. The lighthouse is now automatic and reassuringly blinks at you during the long winter nights.

The trip is to see my old dad for his birthday, and visit a couple of old friends while I'm down. Meeting up with my three sisters too, so that will be fun! Two hour drive the first day, six the next. Not looking forward to driving in traffic again, you get so used to island ways!

Don't know when I'll be able to get access to blip - I'm worrying how I'll cope!!
