New Toy! New Toy!

I've been thinking of getting a macro lens for some time now and the final decision was made last weekend when Captain Lawrie kindly let me use his. As this was after we'd been moored a while and was therefore post- Gin o'clock, I only spent a few mins testing it out on things within reach of where I was sitting (the lemon slice in my G&T, the mooring rope, bits of the boat etc) but it was enough to finally convince me.

I bought it on Thursday afternoon but work and social commitments mean I've not really used it properly yet and it'll be later next week when macro blips start appearing.

I am very excited about it - it's only the second lens I've bought.
