What do you call a ski lift...
that's not for skiing?
After my first day back where I was totally sleep deprived and decided to go out for drinks and crappy food to stay awake, we went to the Great Wall. As someone who's probably spent 10 months of the last 3 years in Beijing, I've been to the wall a bunch of times, more than I care to remember, but this time was different. I went to a part I always avoided because it seemed sort of gimmicky. You walk or take the ski lift up, walk around, whatever, then you can either walk down or take the ski lift down OOOOOORRR you can take a slide. I figured mats on plastic slide, slow, stupid, boring, maybe with some fat guy stuck halfway. Nuh uh. This thing was nuts. Your side's got wheels and you can either release the pressure on the wheels and go faster or increase it to slow down. If you lean in and take the pressure off you can literally fly off (which is what my sister did last time when her brakes didn't work... hitman? you can't rule it out). It was awesome. Next time, I'm going to the part of the wall with a zipline. Bring on the gimmicks!
