I relented.

Sophie now has a phone.

So why the change of heart? James had to wait until he was 11 before he was allowed to have a phone ... Sophie's only 9 1/2 ...

It's because of the change in our circumstances. This phone means that Sophie can keep in touch with me when she's at her dad's house, and similarly she can keep in touch with her dad through the week when she's not with him.

This phone is only supposed to be for Sophie to do the above, but Sophie being Sophie, and the phone being very, *very* pink, Sophie is already becoming attached.
