Beach moment

After a bit of a break from the music group I was back in harness today. Since I was down to host anyway, it seemed like an ideal opportunity to get back into the swing of things. Once again, despite of all the best intentions in the world, I ended up barely ready for the gang with only ten minutes to go. As it happened, all the preparations ended up being appreciated by one of the smallest gatherings in a very long while: just two guests and myself. That gave us plenty of time for extra chat and allowed everyone to choose twice as much music as usual.

It was only when I went to door to welcome the first arrival that I first appreciated what a glorious day it was: bright, sunny, and actually warm. Two of us went to the local afterwards, just for one pint and a chat, and it was going on for 6.30 by the time I was able to get out and about. This time I went to Portmarnock, stopping on the way there and back for some blip moments devoted to harvesters in action. The main business of the day, though, was at Portmarnock beach. I had a grand old time clicking away, without much of a grand plan this time. There were quite a few which were better quality than this one, but I finally opted for this moment instead because of the rather splendid moment between these two and their reflections.

The forecast is excellent for tomorrow too, so I'm looking forward to a full out-and-about day.
