Milfield Plain
I was out walking with Shepherds Walks today. We started at Wooler Common and climbed up into the hills. The dense mist obscured all the views. Then by lunchtime the mist lifted and the sun broke through.
I had a great choice of photos from both morning and afternoon - nearly blipped the purple heather with jewels on the spiders' webs; nearly blipped the image of one walker standing high as if above the clouds. In the end it was the panorama of Milfield Plain that won. The plain stretches for miles and used to be under ice.
I am so lucky to be able to walk in such a lovely part of the world.
You can see more heather in this photo
