Precious

Everything is okay now but we had a scare with Toby tonight. He'd just had his last feed of the day and I was about to take him upstairs to bed when he had a coughing fit and then started crying and screaming and breathing really fast. His chest was heaving in and out and we could hear him wheezing. It just seemed to be getting worse - like an asthma attack - so we rang for an ambulance. They were here in 10 mins but it felt like a lifetime. They gave him some oxygen and and inhaler and he calmed down but we went into hospital to get him checked over as a precaution. He's okay now and we have an inhaler and volumatic to give him if he gets wheezy again. The paramedic said they get called out a lot to babies with breathing difficulties, but we were right to call them.

It's such a struggle to try and be calm and relaxed parents (if anyone ever is) after losing Henry but this has been a total set back for us. Spent most of the night waking up in a panic and prodding him, poor little thing. Life keeps sending us reminders that we just don't need. This picture was taken this morning, when as you can see, he was happy as can be!
