My Northern Streets

In the streets outside a charity shop, Teddy bears die from a kicked in bag of jumble.
That may have been the cherished presents of a child that died, left by a Mother with a heart to crumble.
That now lies strewn like scattered chicken feed against kerbs and in the middle of the roads.
Yet my mam always taught us kids, "Charity begins at Home!", twas one of her strictest codes...
