Looking up at Magnolia flowers
I once worked in an old garden. The owner grew magnolias, rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias. My love of these magnificent plants stems from that time.
Today at lunch time I walked in Wellington's Botanical Gardens. Looking up, I took this shot of magnolia flowers. The sky was clear, the air cool and lightly scented with flower fragrances, the path covered in pink and white flowers. There was no-one else around.
I thought of men and women working in their office cubicles, ten minutes walk away. To paraphrase Albert Camus, you wonder why they are alive.
