Old Glasgow Zoo

'GLES CHU' was the Gaelic name for Glasgow, meaning 'The Dear Green Place'.

I wandered through the grounds of the old zoo which has been bought by Millers Homes.

To say "I wandered" is not correct. No-one could wander, it is more picking a way through debris and paths which long ago lost direction and purpose.
I imagine it was once an enjoyable excursion and possibly representative of 'A Dear Green Place' and it may be many years to know what Millers will have for a new vision.
