Happy Birthday, D!

After a weekend of indulgence, we decided to keep it quiet today.
We had been planning to bake a cake for sometime. And today was the day. The process of making it took precedence over the end result here. Doing it together, step by step was a joy in itself.
The last part in the making, the baking, was the most uncertain. We tried a couple of ways through this, and fortunately succeeded with the timing. It was surprising to have the baking done in just a matter of few mins, with watchful eyes, the batter rose with puffs. Our chocolate cake was ready.
