This bell in Dolores Park, San Francisco, commemorates El Grito de Dolores, the call for Mexican independence by Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla. More details .here. The bell is a replica of the original in Mexico and was donated to SF by Mexico.

I'm back to working in San Francisco's Mission District, possibly for the next couple weeks, so I may have more Dolores Park blips.
