where are my railings

Gloucester Road N in Bristol walking towards a Victorian Pissoir in the park I noticed many iron stubs in the Walls . It's rather sad that the vandalism inflicted in the 1940s in the name of the War Effort, since shown to be far more about national spirit than about metal, is still um repaired. As we approach Battle of Britain celebrations and question what the RAF should be for , this is a reminder of how we damage our own built environment.
