Today's couple finally escape from me after a rather long and drawn out shoot.
You know how some days the creative juices flow forth and other days there's not an artistic drop to be found? Today was one of those dry days and I'm trying to work out why.
I was very much looking forward to a shoot at the zoo with these two as I've met them a couple of times before and I get on really well with them but the zoo was an absolute wash out and considering that's where they're getting married, I'm panicking slightly! The manor house and gardens at the zoo aren't the problem, lots of opportunities there but it's the rest of the place. It was rammed full of people who were constantly getting in the shots, the place is actually too well manicured in that it's all concrete paths and fences and no way of photographing the couple any where near the animals without all those barriers in the way. The one chance we got to include an elephant in the shot and he decided to erm...display himself and there was no mistaking what that was.
The couple, as lovely as they are, found it incredibly hard to relax in front if the camera and try as I might, I couldn't seem to change that.
I got nothing near the photos I'd like so we've actually arranged to go back to try again and I've never had to do that before but I'm determined to get it right.
