Foggy Bottom

If you are not from the US, I may have to explain the Foggy Bottom thing.

Foggy Bottom is a old time neighborhood in Washington D.C. I guess it was a low-lying swampy area that accumulated the fog. I always thought it was a cool name for a place.

The fog here in the low lands and ponds near where I work in the Valley made me think of this today as I was out running around in the fog again.

There was a fog warning today. I'm not sure what you are supposed to do about a fog warning, stay inside? The fog lasted until mid-afternoon, quite unusual and eery. You could not see more than a quarter of a mile in most directions, and there was no sun and no mountains to be seen either.

I found a trick the last couple of days that may get me through the winter. If I come in to work early (before the sun) and get the work done, I can take a mid-morning blip break. After all, I don't smoke and I drink coffee constantly so I don't need a coffee or cigarette break.

I'll have to talk to Scintilla about this, I am sure he would agree.

I am coming up on 200 soon and I am concerned that I may not have a suitable blip. The blip gods have provided me some nice scenes the last so many days, even when the sun is hidden. So, I have been in the opportunistic blip mode. Thank you dear blip gods! But the blip god mojo may not last. Oh well, what comes each day is what comes. But if the grace of the blip gods could last just a couple of more days, that would be nice! Joe, can you help me with the blip gods?
