mystery insect

We have a new front door (well we have a new entrance to our house but more of that another day). It's light oak and it appears a perfect habitat for these insects. At any one time there are several of them just perched on the surface. They look like baby stick insects. Although they seem to have furled wings I have never seen them fly or even just unfurl.

I wonder what they are? They don't seem to do any harm to the door, I hope
