it took me 70 attempts. I had to go to a meeting in the middle of it and empty the memory card. But it was great fun and very satisfying to work it out.
Aïsha found her great-grandma's magnifying glass and showed it to me - and I just had to try it out. This is the result of much fiddling about when I should've been doing something 'useful' :-)
EDIT: looking at this blip again, I've realised that it's got an old lady essence to it that sits nicely with the fact that it was my favourite old lady's magnifying glass I was playing with. She died, sadly, in 2004 but she was a great lady. I often feel that she is one of my inspirations in life - she managed to combine a sound head with a warm heart and one hell of an attitude. When the Nazis asked (she was a seamstress in Germany) her to sew uniforms for them she turned them down because they weren't willing to pay her enough. She accepted me totally, even though I am British and she was bombed out and left homeless with a tiny baby during the war - as well as the fact that I stole her favourite grandchild away to Scotland (but I did bring him back again in better condition). She loved her garden too, just like me and my family, and she would've been able to tell you what to use all these herbs for....and then she would've taken the photo and turned the picture into a cross-stitched cushion or a rug or a lacy tablecloth....
