A Flower's Grave

I've gone back to Scotforth Cemetery today, a repeat of my visit from a couple of weeks back when I met this Chinese gentleman. It's worth pointing out, incidentally, that I don't spend all of my time in morbid places like graveyards, insane asylums and Morecambe. It's just that since I began my Blip life, I've woken up every day wondering where the hell I'm going to go to find something remotely interesting to post up on here.

Anyway, I personally think this very much qualifies as remotely interesting. It's a lovely - and highly original - grave that I spotted last time I was here, but didn't get chance to photograph properly. Someone's put a lot of effort into this, and I commend them for it. I'll leave you with the words of the ever-cheerful Tom Waits:

Someday the silver moon and I will go to dreamland
I will close my eyes and wake up there in dreamland
And tell me, who will put flowers on a flower's grave?
Who will say a prayer?

And if we are to die tonight
Is there moonlight up ahead?
And if we are to die tonight
Another rose will bloom

As one rose blooms, another will die
It's always been that way
I remember the showers
But no-one puts flowers
On a flower's grave

And if we are to die tonight
Is there moonlight up ahead?
I remember the showers
But no-one puts flowers
On a flower's grave.
