My Great Success Story

By SavvyStereo

Basingstoke Costa Open Mic

This is a photo of Toby at the open mic night.

I was in charge of all the sound and bar a few problems I was really really pleased with how it went.

The music went on for around 3 hours and we had around 10 acts that went on and off which meant a lot of moving around but it was really fun.

Apart from Toby we had Mark playing some of his stuff, Sev playing the Sax and I played seven songs (3 of which were duos with Toby).

Hey Ya (Obadiah Parkers version) went well as did Dreaming of You using my new Loop pedal and a POG octave generator to make a bass loop :p

I also played some Andy Mckee as well my own song, Discovery.

With Toby I did Slow Cheetah (RHCP), All Sparks (Editors) and The Man Who Saved The World (Nirvanas version) which sounded nice through my blackstar!

The night was a great success and we raised around £300 for the Costa foundation.

I definitely want to more like it
