Swing, Batterbatter, Swing!

Yesterday was "Family Fun Day", which consisted of:

1. Taking my mother-in-law to a roadshow to see if they could give us an estimate of the value of some old jewelry from China that was passed on from her mom and her grandmother. Unfortunately, this roadshow was not like the Antiques Roadshow on TV, and they just wanted to buy the jewelry and couldn't really give us any information, and the offer they gave was really quite ridiculous. So that was that.

2. My mother-in-law recently expressed an interest in playing racquetball. So we went around looking for somewhere we could play, found a somewhat decent price on a day pass at a nearby Tennis Club, and played a little. Neither hubby nor MIL really knew what they were doing, but they had a bunch of fun nonetheless.

3. A round of mini-golf. The weather was H-O-T, but we made through without melting. I believe this was the worst game of mini-golf I've ever played, but I had fun anyway :)

4. Hubby took a swing (or 30) at the batting cages. Although he had to do slow-pitch because the fast-pitch machine was out of order, he still enjoyed it. Hubby loves batting cages.

5. Went to the late night showing of "Salt", which I had really wanted to watch, but was rather disappointing. You can't win them all.

Whew - Family Fun Day was fun, but a bit exhausting!
