Freedom of Expression

We live in a sad world. This man was holding his sign outside of a lecture being given by humanitarian and Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel.

Dr. Wiesel has never professed that the Holocaust is justification for Palestinian suffering. However, when asked to comment about Israel's treatment of Palestinians, he often chooses to abstain from answering.

Dr. Wiesel is a good man with a good message. He is still, however, a man. He is a man who has seen his friends and family killed. He is a man whose life has been centered around telling tales of mass murder. He is a man of religion and of faith and of peace.

I would sincerely like to make a sound moral judgment on this situation. I do not know the man holding the sign, or why he feels the need to protest. I do know that the Palestinian people have been killed in mass murders.

It's all just very difficult for me to understand.
